Activated Bamboo Charcoal – draws out impurities, toxins, chemicals, dirt and other micro-particles, while helping you to achieve a flawless complexion and fight acne. It is gentle, absorbent, and more effective on oily and acne prone skin.

Alkanet Root Powder – Anti-virus and anti-bacterial. Alkanet root powder may assist you to maintain your skin health and appearance by reducing aging spots and wrinkles. This root has a very effective anti-fungal properties which may assist in healing some skin disorders such as eczema or psoriasis. Acts as a natural colourant.

Annatto Seeds – cold infused into our oils, Annatto oil is very rich in essential minerals: calcium, magnesium, zinc, copper and manganese, and also has antiseptic, antibacterial and anti-fungal properties. It’s ideal for tightening pores or calming irritated skin. It is particularly high in antioxidants and has been known to assist in fighting wrinkles, sun damage and other signs of aging. Due to the antioxidant properties of annatto, it is effective for healing minor skin wounds. The antioxidants facilitate the production of healthy cells and tissues that may reduce scarring and skin damage. Acts as a natural colourant.

Apricot Kernel Oil – Maintain the softness, suppleness, and radiance of skin and hair, stimulates the growth of thicker, longer, and stronger hair, reduces the appearance of ageing, such as premature wrinkles and fine lines, eliminates dandruff and supports hair growth.

Argan Oil – is a vitamin E and fatty acid-loaded oil derived from trees native to Morocco, and it poses a bunch of benefits for hair and skin. When applied to your face, Argan oil may help protect against sun damage, hydrate skin, reduce signs of ageing, and even help control oily skin.

Australian Pink Clay – is perfect for balancing stressed and sensitive skin, as it creates a youthful appearance with ultimate hydration and skin firmness. Its hydrating properties help to refine delicate lines, moisturise and improve the overall texture of the skin.

Australian Rolled Oats – Ground – As an anti-inflammatory agent, oatmeal has a score of anti-oxidants. People who suffer from skin disorders such as eczema and psoriasis brag about the use of oatmeal. Known for reducing pores, oatmeal may assist in combating the aging process along with calming the skin, soothing itching or irritated skin. Your skin needs to restore moisture, and oatmeal soap protects your outer layers acting as an emollient. The properties found in oatmeal not only acts as a barrier to the sun, it’s also used as a way to heal the redness and burned skin. The healing process much faster makes avoiding peeling and cracking while softening, hydrating and moisturizing the skin.

Avocado Oil – Cold Pressed – is valued for its superior regenerative and moisturising properties and because of this is frequently used to boost an ordinary soap recipe into an extra-ordinary one. This oil is rich in vitamins A, B, D and E as well as lecithin, potassium, protein, beta carotene and amino acids. Avocado Oil relieves itching from psoriasis and eczema while softening and soothing the skin.

Avocado Puree – Organic – Not only are avocados high in healthy fats, but they’re also an excellent source of vitamins E and C, both of which play a key role in the health and vitality of your skin. The compounds and vitamins found in avocados may help speed skin repair and improve chronic skin conditions like eczema and acne. It’s also rich in minerals (specially potassium), which helps it penetrate the skin evenly, quickly and deeper than other plant oils, making the skin smooth and moisturised.

Calcium Gluconate – a broad spectrum preservative used in cosmetic and personal care formulations.

Calendula Flowers – cold infused into our oils, Calendula has antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties. Used as an antiseptic, it also hydrates and nourishes dry skin. Calendula has can be used to relieve many types of skin conditions and may assist in some relief of skin symptoms of eczema and dermatitis. By promoting the production of collagen, an essential protein for glowing skin, Calendula aids in sustaining soothed, hydrated skin. Although strong in effect, the gentleness of the herb often makes Calendula a skin care benefit that can be enjoyed even by many of those with skin sensitivities.

Candililla Wax – is a “vegetable” wax that is obtained from the Euphorbia Cerifera botanical, better known as the small, wild Candelilla shrub. It is most common in northern Mexico and extends into southern Texas.

Castor Oil – soothing, lubricating, rich in fatty acids, acts as a humectant to draw moisture to the skin and hair, gives a rich creamy lather to soaps. Fights off infection while having great anti-viral properties. Its an excellent anti-oxidant and contains compounds which help fight effects of aging.

Cedarwood Essential Oil – anti-septic, anti-spasmodic, astringent and insecticidal properties. It may help soothe irritation, inflammation, redness, and itchiness and ease symptoms of eczema and psoriasis.

Ceteareth-20 – a skincare and cosmetic ingredient used to improve the texture and stability of products. Ceteareth that functions as an emulsifier and surfactant in formulations.

Cetearyl Alcohol – a mixture of fatty alcohols consisting predominantly of cetyl and stearyl alcohols found in plants, like Coconut. Commonly used in cosmetics as a stabiliser to thicken an emulsion and keep it from separating, and as a foaming agent. Cetearyl Alcohol also contains emollient properties which leave skin soft and smooth.

Citronella Essential Oil – slows or prevents the growth or spread of harmful airborne bacteria, repels flying insects, uplifts negative moods, and relaxes the body and mind. It is reputed to reduce muscles spasms, ease headaches, and boost energy.

Clove Essential Oil – Has antibiotic, antifungal, anti-infectious, antioxidant, antiseptic, antiviral and aphrodisiac properties. Is said to be beneficial for acne, athlete’s foot, bruises, burns, cuts, infections, insect repellent, muscle pain, nausea and warts.

Cocoa Butter- Organic – the fat of the cocoa bean, smells like chocolate, super emollient, for chapped skin and lips, dry skin, mature skin, stretch marks, may help with skin irritations such as psoriasis, eczema, rashes, and wrinkles. Cocoa butter is a rich moisturiser than penetrates deep into our skin to offer intense hydration, high in antioxidants, cocoa butter can help reduce the signs of ageing, including fine wrinkles and stretch marks.

Coconut Milk Powder – Certified Organic – Considered a luxury ingredient, coconut adds so many benefits in skin-care products. High in natural fatty acids and rich in vitamins and minerals, full of vitamins C, E, B1, B3, B5, and B6, along with potassium and folate. The lauric acid of coconut milk also gives the bar a luxurious and fluffy lather. It pampers, soothes, and restores the health and glow of dry or aging skin. The oils in the coconut milk make it a great cleanser because they provide a deep cleaning without clogging the skin’s pores. Coconut milk’s gentle softening effect is also perfect for almost all skin types.

Coconut Oil – emollient and healing, used in soaps to produce a big fluffy lather. Coconut oil soap is an excellent moisturiser for both the skin and the hair. The properties of the coconut oil also help remove dead skin cells and dirt away from the body. The oils may also help prevent or reduce acne. It also helps firm up your skin to help you look younger as it is rich in antioxidants.

Coffee, Ground – Organic, Sustainable – Coffee grounds work great as a scrub because their texture helps exfoliate the skin and remove dead skin cells. The natural oil in coffee contains enzymes that detoxify, cleanse and help unclog pores, making it ideal for treating acne, eczema and other skin problems along with skin softening, cellulite reduction, skin tightening and anti-inflammation. Need we say more?

Dead Sea Mud – draws out impurities, toxins and dirt particles, leaving your skin fresh and clean, a light exfoliation which removes dead skin cells for a rejuvenating glow. Tightens the pores for an anti-aging effect, helps to reduce wrinkles by moisturising and hydrating the skin, improves blood circulation and initiates natural skin regeneration, may have some effective relief for certain skin disorders including acne, eczema and psoriasis.

Ethylhexyglycerin – a clear liquid preservative derived from vegetable glycerin from coconuts.

Essential Oils – fragrant natural botanical extracts that possess many healing properties on both the physical and emotional levels.

Eucalyptus Essential Oil – has long been recognized for its antibacterial, antifungal, and antiseptic qualities. Respiratory conditions such as asthma and sinusitis may be helped by inhaling Eucalyptus oil. The oil reacts with mucous membranes, not only reducing mucus but helping loosen it so that you can cough it up. Eucalyptus Essential Oil can help repel fleas and with it’s antiseptic properties, help soothe skin after insect bites, stings, and skin rashes.

Fractionated Coconut Oil – MCT – also known as Medium Chain Triglycerides, this is non-greasy and is easily absorbed into the skin. It helps to soften and soothe the dry skin very effectively. It has a feather-light emollient effect that provides a protective barrier without clogging the pores and hence is excellent for dry or troubled skin.

Fragrance Oils – our fragrance oils are designed and developed in Sydney, Australia and are completely vegan/cruelty-free. Many of our fragrance oils do contain a high percentage of essential oils for an accurate and natural scent. Our fragrance oils are nontoxic and do not contain palm oil.

French Green Clay – It has great absorbent powers removing oils and impurities from your skin. Its toning action stimulates the skin bringing fresh blood to damaged skin cells, revitalizing the complexion while tightening pores. This clay is great for oily skin and helps to clear problem skin.

Gluconolactone – is an acid, used in skincare formulations to help increase skin cell turnover and improve the appearance of aging skin. It works in a similar way to AHAs and BHAs but is better for sensitive skin types.

Glycerin – Vegetable – Used on all skin types including oily skin. May treat oily skin conditions, like acne, skin infections, wrinkles and fine lines. Attracts moisture to skin. and acts an emollient, making skin moist, soft and supple.

Grape Seed Oil – absorbs easily into the skin to deliver intense moisture without irritating skin, leaving an oily residue, or clogging pores. This makes it ideal for skin types that are oily, sensitive, and mature as well as skin afflicted with acne and eczema.

Ground Australian Oats – relieves skin irritation and itching, exfoliates, reduces oil from the skin, may treat acne, can reduce dark circles around your eyes, moisturises and may reduce fine wrinkles. Oatmeal acts as an emollient.

Hemp Seed Oil – One of the world’s richest sources of polyunsaturated fats, hemp seed oil contains more naturally occurring essential fatty acids than any other plant-derived oil. The oil is known for its amazing moisturizing properties due to its high level of both omega fatty acids and linoleic acid. Rich in vitamin E, hemp seed oil is a great oil for all skin types, balances skin oil production, provides long-lasting moisture, does not clog pores, soothes irritated skin, and may help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Indigo Powder – Its ability to reduce inflammation makes it phenomenal for sensitive skin or even for acne-prone skin with blemishes. It’s also great at reducing redness and irritation along with soothing dry, itchy skin. Acts as a natural colourant.

Jojoba Oil – Organic – has humectant properties and it is technically a wax, meaning it can seal in the moisture of the skin, protecting it with a barrier. Jojoba is similar in makeup to the sebum of your skin, so it will not clog your pores, leading to fewer acne breakouts. Appropriate for all skin types and will soothe and moisturize your skin and prevent your skin from looking oily. It is antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory, therefore very helpful in soothing and moisturizing skin with mild acne. Due to its anti-inflammatory properties, it may help relieve skin dryness, flaking, itching caused by eczema and psoriasis or rosacea.

Kaolin Clay – helps to withdraw toxins and impurities in the skin. Assists the skin retain moisture.

Kokum Butter – rapidly absorbed into skin, very conditioning, anti inflammatory, humectant, helps produce collagen to lessen the appearance for wrinkles, fine lines and stretch marks, fights free radicals, increase skins elasticity, vitamin F protects and rejuvenates dry and soothes dry skin.

Lavender Essential Oil – a beautiful fresh, sweet and floral aroma with calming and sedative properties. A wonderful oil to help relax, fight stress and promote sleep. Lavender Essential Oil also has antibacterial properties.

Lemon Essential Oil – antibacterial and antioxidant with a revitalizing effect that has been shown to dramatically reduce stress. Similar to the orange essential oil, it has a refreshing quality that can ease or calm anxiety. The astringent properties of lemon help balance oil glands and minimize oil production making it one of the top choices to use on acne prone skin.

Lemongrass Essential Oil – contains organic compounds called aldehydes which are a natural bug deterrent. Fleas, ticks, mosquitoes and many other biting insects are repelled by Lemongrass’ natural repellency.

Lime Essential Oil – anti-bacterial and astringent properties. Citrus oils, stimulate the microcirculation, balance skin oil production, and support tissue regeneration. Lime has a tightening effect that may help brighten and rejuvenate dull-looking skin. Some believe that the antioxidants in lime essential oil may help reduce dark spots due to aging.

Macadamia Oil – grown right here on the Sunshine Coast, this oil can help reduce signs of aging like fine lines and wrinkles and help keep the skin elastic and looking youthful. When used as a daily moisturizer, it is able to penetrate deep into the layers of the skin to moisturize, perfect for mature or dry skin. Because it is high in Oleic acid, this oil can help reduce inflammation and itchiness caused by skin irritation. Due to its hypoallergenic properties, this oil is well suited for use on sensitive skin.

Madder Root Powder – Acts as a natural colourant.

Magnesium Sulfate – known as Epsom salt, contains magnesium and may help the body rid of toxins responsible for exacerbating inflammation while also reducing swelling, stiffness, and pain.

Mica – Mica is a general name for a group of natural Earth minerals that are mined, purified and pulverised into fine powders and then used for dozens of different applications including cosmetics and soap making.

Neem Seed Oil – a tree native to India, known to be antiviral, antibacterial, antimicrobial, analgesic, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, insect repellent, kills parasites, helpful for treating acne, dandruff, eczema, psoriasis, fungus, itching, nappy rash, wounds and sunburn.

Oat Milk – made from Ground Australian Oats and rainwater, this ‘milk’ has all of the benefits of the Ground Australian Oats mentioned previously.

Olive Oil – high in monounsaturated fatty acids and vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant and a superior moisturiser, used to nourish and protect the skin and to combat the effects of ageing, draws moisture to the skin while allowing normal skin functions to take place, one of the very best oils for natural skin care.

Paprika Powder – paprika is an enormous source of vitamin C – more than most citrus fruits. As an antioxidant, vitamin C fights the aging effects of free radicals and protects your skin. Acts as a natural colourant.

Peppermint Essential Oil – anti-depressant, anti-septic, astringent and insect repelling properties, relives itchiness and irritation, a refreshing skin tonic and cools down inflammation cause by skin blemishes and acne. Has been known to be beneficial for acne, dermatitis, eczema, headaches, insect bites, mental fatigue and migraines.

Pink Himalayan Sea Salt – possesses the ability to remineralise the body with minerals and trace elements essential to soften skin as well as ease aches and pains.

Phenoxyethanol – an antibacterial preservative to prevent products from losing their potency or spoiling.

Pomegranate Seed Oil – nourishes our skin with its massive store of vitamin C – one of the biggest vitamins in skin care. Pomegranate offers regenerative, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-aging properties that promote bouncy, glowing skin.

Poppyseeds – a good source of unsaturated fatty acids as well as minerals like calcium, zinc and magnesium. A good exfoliator, which will remove dead skin cells.

Potassium Hydroxide – this is what transforms our oils into pure natural soap. Saponification is the chemical reaction in which the building blocks of fats and oils (triglycerides) react with lye to form soap. Once the saponification is complete there is NO potassium hydroxide left in the soap.

Pumice – is a fantastic gentle exfoliant created from milled volcanic glass.

Rice Bran Oil – has the potential to promote hydration, reduce pigmentation, even out skin tones, and diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. These skin benefits of rice bran oil are largely attributed to the high level of vitamin E, vitamin B, omega-9, a rich array of fatty acids.

Rose Geranium Essential Oil – reputed to balance the skin’s natural oil production, minimize the appearance of enlarged pores, eliminate infection-causing or acne-causing bacteria, reduce the appearance of dull skin, encourage the body’s relaxation, soothe uncomfortable skin ailments and generally rejuvenate the complexion.

Rosemary Essential Oil – a herb that many of us are very familiar with and their woody scent is exactly what keeps mosquitoes away.

Shea Butter – Organic Virgin – Extracted from the kernels of a wild African tree, Shea butter is an excellent emollient with great healing properties. High in triglycerides and fatty acids, its soft buttery texture melts easily into the skin. Traditionally used by indigenous people for burns, wounds, sunburn, muscle aches and as a moisturising beauty aid for hair and skin. Shea Butter is one of the best anti aging agents for your skin. It stimulates the production of collagen, which is the youthful scaffolding protein in your skin. It makes skin supple, more alive, nourished and radiant. We only use Baraka Shea Butter which is wholesome, nourishing, and organic, AAA quality and Certified Fair Trade – no chemicals or additives, no animal testing, no harsh industrial processes. Just pure, natural, unrefined shea butter.

Sodium Benzoate -a preservative that is primarily an anti-fungal agent but also has some effectiveness against bacteria.

Sodium Bicarbonate – known as Bicarb Soda, can be beneficial for many conditions, including yeast infections, fungal skin and nail infections, eczema and psoriasis.

Sodium Hydroxide – Commonly known as Lye, this is what transforms our oils into pure natural soap. ALL bar soap is made with it. Saponification is the chemical reaction in which the building blocks of fats and oils (triglycerides) react with lye to form soap. Once the saponification is complete there is NO sodium hydroxide left in the soap.

Sodium Lactate – a liquid salt that can speed up unmolding time. Using sodium lactate produces harder, longer-lasting bars of cold process soap.

Soy Wax – a vegetable wax made from the oil of soybeans. A natural emollient, or moisturizer, so naturally when used in soaps it can soften the skin.

Spearmint Essential Oil – Antibacterial and astringent properties. Spearmint is a good skin cleanser as it helps close pores and tightens skin. It helps control oil production but is gentle enough to use for combination skin. It’s anti-inflammatory properties may help ease the symptoms of skin conditions such as psoriasis and acne.

Sweet Almond OilSweet Almond Oil – full of antioxidants, omega-3 fatty acids, protein, vitamin E, magnesium and calcium. Soothing to dry skin, it can improve complexion and tone. As it has antibacterial properties and is rich in vitamin A which may assist to help heal sun damage and help with signs of aging along with alleviating dry flaky skin associated with eczema and psoriasis and reduce the appearance of fine facial wrinkles.

Sweet Orange Essential Oil – stimulates microcirculation, helps to diminish the appearance of pores and ease irritated skin conditions. This oil helps improve the appearance and texture of dull skin by promoting clarity, radiance, and smoothness. It has anti-bacterial, astringent, and cleansing properties and balances skin oil production to help with acne-prone skin.

Tapioca Starch – an oil absorbing starch powder made from tapioca and is an invaluable staple personal care ingredient. Able to absorb and hold fixed oil and/or Fragrance or Essential Oils.

Tea Tree Essential Oil – known for its antiseptic, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory properties, it repels not only mosquitoes but also ticks, bees, bed bugs, fleas, fire ants, and spiders.

Turmeric – anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and an antioxidant. Good for sensitive, dry or troubled skin, helps beat acne and oil imbalances with its antibacterial and antiseptic qualities. Invigorates the skin to create a healthy glow. Improves the skin’s tone, clears inflammation and may reduce the appearance of scars.

Vitamin E – an important fat-soluble antioxidant, it protects the skin from various deleterious effects due to solar radiation by acting as a free-radical scavenger.

Walnut Shell – ground walnut shells are a powerful abrasive that is a highly effective exfoliant.

Ylang Ylang Essential Oil – pronounced “Ee-lang Ee-lang”, this essential oil can control as well as balance the oil production in the skin and can work as an effective cleanser. Inflammation or irritation could also be alleviated while boosting circulation and retaining hydration. It has antioxidant properties which makes it an effective ingredient that can assist in anti-aging.
